Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have other questions that are not answered here, please email or call us as we will be happy to answer your questions. Contact information.
Low Current Test Equipment:
Q: What probe cards can you test?
A: Currently we have test interfaces for Keithley S600 and Agilent
7000 series parametric probe cards.
Q: Can other probe cards be tested than those
listed?
A: Yes, contact us and give us your test requirements and we can
discuss what options are available to you.
Q: Can you provide low current test
equipment for other that probe cards?
A:Yes, we would be happy review your test requirements with you and
help you with a solution.
Q: What is low current?
A: Low current is typically forcing and/or measuring currents below
1nA.
Q: How low of current can your test?
A: We have routinely developed interfaces and designs that work to
1e-15 amps per Volt. (1 fempto Amp) Lower currents are
possible but require very specific equipment and interfaces.
Coax Probe Needles
Q: Are other probe needles available
then the 4 types listed?
A: Yes, contact us and we can discuss your requirements.
Q: How low of current will these probe
needles work?
A: This is very dependant on how good the construction is of the epoxy
ring that holds them. It is also dependant on the probe card
design that the spider is mounted to. With proper epoxy ring
assembly and probe card design, probe cards can work to <1e-15 amps
per volt. (1 fempto amp)
Q: Will these probe needles work for
high frequencies?
A: These probe needles are specifically designed for low current
performance and close spacing for parametric probing. Their
impedance ranges from 11 to 14 ohms. Their ability to work at
high frequencies is very limited and test specific.
Consulting services
Q: What type of consulting services do
you provide?
A: We can provide services related to the following general topics:
Low current test applications
Low current interfaces
Parametric probing requirements
Training on low current testing
Training on low current interfaces
RF and low current test applications
Semiconductor wafer probing
Switch matrix design for low current
Q: How do you charge for your consulting
services?
A: We change by the hour for our services with a minimum of 16
hours. If travel is required, than travel expenses are also
charged.
